Playing music in public places for a charge

Radio station representatives forecast a drop in the number of listeners if companies have to buy special licences to listen to the radio during working hours, and are also concerned about the desire of the AKKA/LAA Copyright Agency to set a licence fee, according to a survey of radio station representatives conducted by the BNS agency.

In turn, the Copyright Agency points out that legislative provisions regarding playing music in public places have long been in force - since 1993 in fact, but that the issue of licences for public transport was only resolved this year.
